the Hosts
Nathan Baar
Nathan has been a registered nurse since 2009 and is the Founder and CEO of HealthBar and DecentraCare. He started his career as a bedside ER nurse eventually becoming to the Director of Emergency and Urgent Care Services for University of Michigan Health-West. During his 11 years at Metro Health Hospital, he gained valuable insights as a clinical provider and significant expertise in the corporate functions of the healthcare system.
These formative experiences were the catalyst for HealthBar and his desire to fundamentally change how primary and preventative care are viewed in the US.
He is married with three children and loves woodworking, bonsai, and taking care of plants. He received his BSN from Calvin University and his MHA from Grand Valley State University.
Dr. Andrew White
Dr. Andrew White grew up in Jackson, Michigan where he graduated from Vandercook Lake High School. After high school, he attended Albion College where he double majored in pre-medical studies and music with an emphasis on guitar. Dr. White then continued on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
Dr. White’s interest in chiropractic started after seeing a close loved one endure chronic pain after undergoing two spinal surgeries and struggle with a painkiller (opioid) addiction post-surgery.
Dr. White’s passion to end the opioid crisis through principled chiropractic care has continued to grow and that’s why we are here! He started THE corporate wellness program to have a wider reach in reducing work injuries and improving work productivity.
